A few minutes of quiet...

Just laid down a very tired eight and a half month old. Husband and kids are at Blockbuster picking out a movie for family night. Family night should be wrapping up here in a half hour, but I'll be shocked if it actually begins in a half hour.
It's funny how when you look at the clock and you think, "It's only 11 a.m.?!?", and next thing you know you are running late on fixing dinner.
I made homemade mac & cheese tonight. Because it didn't look like Kraft mac & cheese, Max took about an hour to eat his. Geez...I'm not sure why I worked so hard on it.
I have found a few new blogs. Unless the Lord is the blog where I found the yogurt recipe. Haven't tried making it yet, but probably will b/c the big container of yougurt is just as expensive as the little cups. Like a Warm Cup of Coffee is a pretty good blog I found too. She has some different blog series that I've been taking a peek at in my spare time.
The weather is fantastic around here. Tomorrow we are going to hit the park. The burger patties are ready to go...well that's about all that's ready to go. I am going to try to sneak out of here early in the a.m. for a little Suzanne time. Then I'll be ready to come home, sit outside with the kids, and hopefully catch a little sun on my face.
The revival at church begins on Sunday. I have to say it sounded a little scary to me at first. Now, I am really pumped for it. Aaron keeps saying that he sometimes feel like we're in a Quantam Leap episode. Maybe God has a purpose for us through this revival and then He will bring a few answers. Only He knows.
I think that's the door...movie is here...and I have yet to make popcorn....oops!

Monday...

Ever since Aaron began a regular 5 day, Monday thru Friday work-week, Mondays have taken on a different feeling in our household. I find myself dreading them a bit and even more so since cabin fever has set in on me and my kiddos. It didn't get to 30 degrees today, but the sun was shining giving the kids a reason to complain and whine most of the day about wanting to go outside and play soccer. No can do. Will not do. Now I don't mind going out in cold weather...bundling them up and heading out, but it has to be at least 40 to do that. So, needless to say, it was a bit of a long day.
Skip forward several hours.
I am getting the kids dinner ready. (Hot dogs...I know Stace, no nutritional value, but it's quick and I got to go to bible study tonight.) So while I was getting just the right amount of ketchup on Max's bun he says to me,

"Mommmmmmma, when is daddy gonna be home? I've had a rough day."

Funny, I thought. I've been thinking the same thing since noon.

Oh, I really do love my job.
