Last day of May...

After wishing for some rain this morning so to avoid getting in the shower and in turn going to Max's tee-ball game, I'm glad that it held to just a few sprinkles. We had a good time at the game. Molly sat with her bag of popcorn and raisins. As soon as we run out of those she wants to immediately so and sit with Max. She loves doing everything that he does. Sometimes he resists at first, but then finally gives in. She told him last Tuesday that she wanted to play ball with him. He said no because she wasn't big enough. Finally, he looked at her and said, "alright...you can play baseball with me". I think Max is really enjoying himself which makes me happy. I never want any of my children to participate in extra activities that he truly doesn't enjoy. We, of course, will make them study all sorts of things that they probably won't be interested in so I'll let them choose the extra stuff. After the game we played at the park for awhile and then headed to The Root Beer Stand for lunch. GOOD STUFF! The kids loved having the tray of food right on the window and they sat on the floor of the van and inhaled their french fries and root beer floats. We made one last stop to the Peach Corner and picked up fresh strawberries, cukes, & green beans. I'm so glad that has finally opened. A part of me is sad that I don't have more of a yard to plant the beautiful flowers that we found there, but another part is relieved that I don't have more of a yard. The rest of the afternoon was spent in our backyard playing in the pool and snacking on our strawberries. It was a great Saturday afternoon.
Max talked a lot about preschool today. And then Molly started talking about how she wants to go to preschool too. Max told her no because she is only 2. August 20 is going to be here before I know it. I'll blink and we'll be celebrating Christmas. Max thinks that he gets to go today to prechool because he is going #2 all on his own and no longer wearing a diaper. I'm so proud of him. He has become quite the gentleman (although he still has his moments). Speaking of proud moments, I'm going to go off on a bunny trail here... Dr. Viner and the nurses have been complimenting me on what good kids I have. At Wednesday's visit, Dr. Viner came in the room and said that a bunch of them at the office were going to bring their kids to our house and that they would pick them up later. I've tried to explain to them that Max & Molly just take bribes very well. Honestly though, I am usually pretty happy with how they behave in the office. My sister tells me to take it in and say thank you and not to make excuses for the good compliments. I suppose.
Well, I'm not sure where I was before my bunny trail so I'll sign off for now. Aaron headed out to get the first season of Lost. We are spending the summer catching up on all 3 seasons so that we'll be ready in September. We'll see if we catch up on time.
Happy June!
